King to serve as chief branding and marketing officer with McDaniel as chief business development officer; both join NorthStar Care Community leadership council

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Sept. 23, 2024) – NorthStar Care Community (NSCC), which includes member not-for-profit organizations Arbor Hospice,  Centrica Care Navigators and Hospice of Michigan, recently promoted Denise King as vice president, chief branding and marketing officer, and Patricia McDaniel, MBA as vice president, chief business development officer. With this change, King and McDaniel join the NorthStar Care Community leadership council.

As vice president, chief branding and marketing officer, King oversees NorthStar Care Community’s brand identity, as well as oversees marketing activities for Arbor Hospice, Centrica Care Navigators and Hospice of Michigan. King has dedicated her career to enhancing the visibility and impact of organizations that make a difference. Prior to this role, King shifted to the hospice sector in 2017, inspired by the exceptional care her father received during his end-of-life journey. She holds degrees in public administration and social work from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

As vice president, chief business development officer, McDaniel is responsible for the overall strategy development, leadership and management of market operations. She will work with NorthStar Care Community executives and staff to execute the organization’s strategic plan.

McDaniel joined NorthStar Care Community in 2019 as associate vice president of marketing and client services. She has demonstrated expertise in leadership and management, with a focus on team collaboration and customer service. McDaniel holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio.

“As one of the largest not-for-profit end-of-life organizations in the nation, it is the responsibility of NorthStar Care Community to cultivate the next generation of leadership in our industry,” said Patrick Miller, CEO of NorthStar Care Community. “We recognize that Denise and Patricia are strong leaders with a deep understanding of our mission.
